Fruit Bowls Sushi Dish Set Pit Fired Planters Man Mugs

Fruit Bowls Our fruit bowls are made in the ancient styling of hand coiling. The soft flow of the coils lends its own rythm to the piece.
	Blue Bowl This bowl has been glazed inside and out with a muted blue. The blue color "breaks" over the curve of the coil, giving the bowl an intriguing finish. Size: 9"w x 3.5"h $120 Cdn*
These bowls have been wood fired in an ancient style of wood-burning kiln, called an Anagama kiln. The process takes up to four days and nights. The kiln becomes hot enough to form a glaze made up of the vapours of the other pieces in the kiln, any glazes used, and the particulate matter from the burning wood. These pieces have an energy all their own.
	Brown Glazed Fruit Bowl Brown glaze has been unevenly brushed on the interior of the bowl, seeping out of the design spaces to add to the random coloration. The finish on the exterior of the bowl has been created by the kiln vapours. Size: 9"w x 3.5"h $150 Cdn*
	Opal Fruit Bowl A richly colored opal glaze graces the interior of this bowl. A portion of the exterior of the bowl has been glazed by the kiln vapors leaving a deep deposit of color. Size: 9"w x 3.5"h $150 Cdn*
	Unglazed Fruit Bowl The kiln was allowed to "have it's way" completely with this bowl. The interior is a warm speckle thanks to the airborn ash in the kiln. The exterior colors range from the pale bone grey of the clay body to the rich deep brown created by the kiln vapors. Size: 9"w x 3.5"h $150 Cdn*

Pit Fired Planters Our pit-fired kiln planters are perfect for that added touch of decor, either inside or out. The coloration of the pieces are created by burning of the contents of the "pit" which may include, but are not limited to, woods, wood shavings, and papers.
